Raw-material extraction
Pre-treat and extract according to the raw material so that its colour components enter the liquid phase.
CHAPTER 11 · TRADITIONAL CHINESE COLOURS · DYE CARDS
One colour, one chapter—showing both the shade and its source. Natural raw materials set the scene; physical samples confirm the colour direction.
Colour atlas
The dye cards are organised into red, yellow, blue, green and charcoal-grey families. Browse within each family; final colour is subject to the approved physical sample.
1 / 3
The red family includes Mahogany, Cochineal and Violet dye cards.
On-screen colour is directional only. Substrate, process, batch and lighting affect the result; the approved physical sample prevails.
Natural dye colour cards
Twelve natural-dye cards show each raw-material source and colour changes across concentrations. Screen colours are indicative; physical samples prevail.
Dye cards support colour-direction discussions. Screen differences may occur; the physical card and approved sample prevail.
Extraction & production
Preparing botanical colour for textile use involves extraction, filtration and concentration. Process parameters depend on the raw material, product and current technical documentation.
Pre-treat and extract according to the raw material so that its colour components enter the liquid phase.
Filter and concentrate the dye liquor, then confirm quality for the specific product.
Produce a liquid dye suitable for transport and use; packaging and specifications follow the current project documents.
Dyeing capability
We provide plant dyeing for fibre, yarn, fabric and garments. After reviewing the material, target colour and use, we arrange colour samples, process trials and production assessment.
Assess the process around material, colour direction and intended use, then confirm with samples.
Assess the dyeing direction against substrate composition, construction and weight.
Available for fibre, yarn and other textile forms.
Cotton, linen, wool, silk, regenerated fibres and selected synthetics can be sampled; process compatibility is confirmed against the actual substrate.
About Shennong

Application directions
These are common development directions. Suitability, colour and performance must be confirmed for the material, structure, intended use and target standard.
Confirm hand feel, colour and actual use requirements together.
Colour and fabric development for bedding and household textiles.
Assess each project against its intended use and the customer's target standard.
Colour development for knitted fabric, yarn and garments.
Natural-colour, small-batch and brand-collaboration projects.
Validate separately against material structure and target performance.
Technical service & delivery
Provide material composition, construction, weight, target colour, intended use, estimated quantity and timing.
Review colour and process compatibility first; adjust dye concentration and application conditions where needed.
Use the approved sample to confirm materials, quantity, production method and current technical requirements.
After sample and technical direction are confirmed, agree the current price, lead time, shipping and production arrangements.
